Since I am a certified doula, I am able to accept multiple types of insurance. Though it is up to you to verify eligibility with your insurance company. I am also able to accept Carrot Fertility benefits.

I serve Pierce, King, and Kitsap, and some of Thurston County. Most of my clients are located in the Seattle area, and I don’t mind commuting for the right fit.
-
I do! I hold professional liability insurance through CM&F Group.

Yes, I supply a contract and require it to be signed before services are rendered. My contract is lawyer-approved, and for postpartum packages, I require a 40% retainer, which is applied to the end of the contracted hours.
-
Some people book as early as they can, and others book me after delivery when my schedule opens up / if I have availability.
I suggest booking me when you’re ready; the retainer that is required upon signing guarantees your slot in my calendar. Unfortunately, without a contract signed, I cannot promise my availability to remain open.

I take working with newborns very seriously, and I try to keep everyone safe and healthy to limit the spread of illnesses. I am fully vaccinated, and up to date on all shots and boosters. I wear a mask to every shift and always wash my hands the second I walk through the door.

Shifts differ depending on the needs of clients, but a standard shift is 8 hours, usually 9pm-5am or 10pm-6am.
I arrive, check in with the parents, and set a plan for the night. They then go to sleep, and I remain awake and care for the baby. When the baby wakes, I change them, do the feedings if they’re bottle fed, or bring them to mom to breastfeed. Then I burp them, change their diaper again if needed, swaddle, and soothe them back to sleep. While the baby sleeps, I do any tasks or baby-related chores that are needed, like laundry, washing bottles, storing pumped milk, etc. And the cycle repeats. If the baby is asleep and all of my duties are done, I will rest and try to get some sleep until the baby wakes next or my shift is over, and it’s time to wake the parent(s). Every family is different, and not all night shifts go the same, but my ultimate goal is to give parents peace of mind and help them maximize rest.

I do! I am open to discussing reduced rates, and I occasionally will accept pro-bono work for the right fit. Everyone is deserving of support, and if money is a barrier for someone I encourage you to reach out. If I can’t myself support you, I will happily supply you with resources and other options that may help.

I was a career nanny for over 10 years, and a lead infant teacher at a local daycare center. I have experience caring for up to ten children at once, and I have extensive experience with multiples. I’ve cared for medically fragile infants and children with various learning and physical disabilities. I was also an Au Pair (ask me about my year living abroad in Australia!), a travel nanny, and most importantly, I am a big sister to six beautiful humans.
I have completed lots of trainings and classes, including a full-spectrum doula course, a postpartum doula course, a labor doula course, a lactation counselor course (ongoing), and I even became an apprentice specializing in postpartum nutrition for a time. I believe knowledge is power, and I strive to always learn as much as I can.
I believe my experience and training have helped shape me into the birthworker I am today, and I’m truly grateful for all my clients.
